(The Son / Conceiver / Choreography / Director) is thrilled to bring Ain’t Done Bad to NYC! As the show’s creator, director and choreographer, he is honored to share this story with his friends, peers, and heroes in the city he loves. Originating the role of the Son in 2021, Jakob hopes to tell a love story for all people; those who need love the most, and those happy to give a piece of their heart. MEGUMI IWAMA

(The Mother) from Orange County, CA and now based in NYC has performed a variety of works, including from Donald McKayle, Charlotte Griffin, Maleek Washington, Candace Brown, and Bo Park. She holds a BFA-Choreography and BFA-Performance from UC Irvine. Off Broadway credits include Company XIV’s Nutcracker Rouge and Seven Sins directed by Austin McCormick and Film/TV credits include Mean Girls the movie. IAN SPRING

(The Brother) graduated from Point Park University before joining Parsons Dance for seven seasons. Ian was part of the “Radio City Summer Spectacular” (Mia Michaels) as well as several productions with Company XIV (Austin McCormick). He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Sleeping Beauty Dreams (Edward Clug), and has guested for Bruce Wood Dance and Dark Circles Contemporary Dance. Ian is a founding member of Omar Roman De Jesus’ company, Boca Tuya.

LUKE QUALLS

(The Son alternate) a native of Austin, Texas, graduated from Booker T. Washington HSPVA before advancing his dance education at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. At USC, he had the opportunity to work closely with renowned artists like William Forsythe and Jodie Gates. Relocating to New York City, Luke performed with the Radio City Rockettes in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. He continues to pursue his passion for dance, striving to captivate and inspire audiences with every performance.

YUSAKU KOMORI

(The Friends). Dancer and Cinematographer, Yusaku Komori won first prize in three prestigious Japanese dance competitions. His dance career includes becoming a company member with Aileyll, Bad Boys of Dance and Armitage Gone! Dance and performing lead roles in the 20th Century Fox movie The Greatest Showman, TV commercials for BMW, TOYOTA, Apple Music, Apple TV+ movie Spirited and many Japanese TV shows.

JORDAN LOMBARDI

(The Friends) grew up & began dancing in Baltimore, Maryland. She traveled on many world tours with the Bad Boys of Dance as the principal female in the show ROCK The Ballet, with Sweetbird Production’s Romeo & Juliet as the role of Juliet and went on to join the cast of The Phantom Of The Opera Nat’l Tour. Jordan is a proud member of the original cast of Jakob Karr’s Ain’t Done Bad. Thank you deeply to my family and friends for the love and guidance. Let’s Ride! @jordanlombardi

(The Lover) trained for 15 years in Northern California prior to graduating from Chapman University in 2022, with a BFA in dance performance and a minor in business administration. Since moving to New York shortly after, he has worked with DanceLabNY and performed in The Empire Strips Back (A Burlesque Parody) at the historic Orpheum Theater and on tour.

CADEN HUNTER

(Swing) From Chesapeake, Virginia, Caden Hunter is currently studying at the Juilliard School. Prior to attending the Juilliard School, Caden was a part of the Moscow Ballet's The Nutcracker, Virginia Arts Festival’s Rhythm Live, and has performed a new creation by Rachel Lockhart in Dance Theater of Harlem's Sunday matinee series. Hunter has also received the Professional Advancement Award for attending The School at Jacob's Pillow Contemporary 2023.

GRACE BUCKLEY (Associate Choreographer) is a sought after dancer/choreographer/teacher across the USA, including her role as faculty with New York City Dance Alliance. She worked as Resident Choreographer for the North American tour of Cats, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler and toured internationally as Ballet Mistress & performer for Romeo & Juliet and Rock the Ballet, choreographed by Adrienne Canterna. She is honored to have worked with Jakob and the cast of Ain’t Done Bad for their NYC run!

JOI MARCHETTI (Additional Music Production) is honored to be part of ADB! She has composed works for The New Ohio Theatre, The Drama League, and The Park Avenue Armory. Her film score premieres include Tide Film Festival, Culver City Film Festival, and Cinema Diverse. Her piece, Sestina, premiered at the SF Contemporary Music Players 'Re:Visitations' concert. PHILIP LUPO (Scenic Designer/Lighting Designer) is a regional Production Designer and Manager whose credits include From Here (Renaissance Theatre Company), Rhythm of Nature (Busch Garden Tampa), Venus in Fur (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), Frida (Opera Orlando), Bring it On (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts), 6 Guitars (Mirvish Toronto), and Into the Woods (DreamCatcher Theatre, Miami).

JOEY COOMBS (Scenic Designer) has been the Scenic Charge at the Renaissance Theatre Company for the last two years and has worked with the company for nearly three. Career highlights include designing sets for their annual fall show, Nosferatu, and for their weekly drag show, Off The Record Wednesdays; and painting the mural on the side of the company’s building, which he dedicates to the LGBTQ+ community in Orlando. “We’re all from here.” Instagram: @poetic_toast

MORGAN LEMOS (Stage Manager) is delighted to be a part of the Ain’t Done Bad team. They recently worked with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre during their season at BAM, and with Ballet Tech for their Joyce Theatre season. Their previous work includes credits from The Juilliard School, Buglisi Dance Theatre, and Ballet Hispánico. They wish to thank their partner Arden for their continued support. They graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in Physics.

RENAISSANCE THEATRE COMPANY (Producer) is an Orlando-based non-profit theater company dedicated to developing original theatrical experiences in Orlando and beyond, with intentional focus on fair pay for artists, highlighting diverse perspectives, and building a new audience for live theatrical entertainment. Co-Founded by Donald Rupe and Chris Kampmeier in 2021, the Ren is producing two Off-Broadway Productions this summer at the Center; From Here, an original musical which highlights Orlando’s community response to the tragic Pulse shooting in 2016, is occupying the Griffin right across the hall from Ain’t Done Bad (rentheatre.com).
